For the past few months, I have been the only DA employed by the little non-profit where I currently work, and from the beginning, everything has been overworked. Though I believe it is partially because I am the only person in the organisation in charge of all general reporting requirements, I am aware that data work can sometimes be like this. I was curious about the number of individuals who work as the only DA/DS.

I am the only one in my organisation, too, but I have a different kind of issue because no one else has much experience in the field, therefore I do not have many mentors, consultants, or feedback providers.

Being new and the lone data analyst in my first job, I too feel stuck because they are not really sure what they want me to do. No experience to guide. It is really annoying. And due of the state of the market, I am not sure if I should quit my current work or not, which makes me nervous. Not enough opportunities.
