I’m shocked that you’re shocked. Being the SVP of global sales at Micron, which is a huge corporation, will be a very difficult job, and I think that the salary number includes the typical stock compensation.
He had simply never seen such large numbers. He is already disqualified because he was shocked by the amount, thus that job is by no means “easy” for him.
To be honest, it doesn’t seem that unrealistic for a position just below C levels in a respectable company.
My current midsize IT company has at least one SVP who is comparable.
The CEO of Micron has a TC of $29 million.
Well, in charge of every sale and answering directly to the CEO. I guess it would be worthwhile for the business if you had the CEOs of the Fortune 500 listed in your address book and they were able to secure billion-dollar contracts as a result.
that’s not so strange when you compare that to banks, where hundreds of staff make over $1 million.
Wait till you find out how much money business owners make!
