Data directors; how strictly have you adhered to “data science” in your career? I earned a master’s in data science, but I’ve intentionally taken on roles that blend data science with engineering. Currently, I lead a five-person data team at my organization. While we’re focused on data science, our work isn’t as heavily centered on machine learning as some other positions might be.
