Junior Data Scientist Salary Expectations

Hi everyone, I graduated with a degree in data science and started a summer internship, as the company hinted at a potential full-time offer afterward. I just had a call with my manager, who asked about my salary expectations for the full-time role. I was not prepared to answer, so I said I would think about it and get back to him by the end of the day.

I am seeking advice on typical salaries for junior data scientists. The role is fully remote, and I live in the Bay Area. Based on my research like on Glassdoor, I am considering asking for around $80K. What do you all think?

Most of the criticism is due to performance issues, which have mostly been fixed now. The other complaints are about the lack of terrorists in the game, leading some to call it “woke.”

The complaint about emptiness is amusing because if you play POSTAL 2 now, it’s pretty empty as well. We need to stop rewriting history. POSTAL 4 needs more content in its world, and it will get there, but let’s not pretend that POSTAL 2 is brimming with life all over the map. It’s a badass game that has aged well and has been kept updated, but it’s put on a pedestal.

The question of salary expectations is actually one of the hardest during an interview.
For a Data Scientist although the role is remote, asking for $80K is actually underpay because typically you should ask for more than $100K.
It would be best to reconsider because your work is crucial and hence needs better pay.

It truly is dependent upon your location. I’ve seen DS positions pay roughly 65 in the Midwest, 90 in the Washington, DC, and even 120 in San Francisco. As a junior, your median pay would likely be about 75, but it may be as low as 50 or as high as perhaps 90. The median wage for a data scientist was approximately 100k with a somewhat big standard deviation last year.
