In my experience, data scientists typically work around 40 to 45 hours a week, though it can vary depending on the company and the specific project deadlines. Some weeks might be lighter, while others could stretch into 50+ hours if there are tight deadlines or major data crunching tasks. The field often requires flexibility, so it’s not uncommon to put in extra hours when needed, especially during critical project phases.
