I’ve always said it as “eeee-pock” because that’s how my computer science professor taught me. But I often hear people say “epic” or “eh-pock,” and it really annoys me.
How do you think it should be pronounced in data science?

In data science circles, “eeee-pock” is a commonly recognized pronunciation, however there are variations. Variations do, however, arise, reflecting personal or geographical preferences. Regardless of pronunciation, communication clarity is crucial.

Hello! the word “epoch” can be pronounced in form of two ways EE-pock or EH-puck. Both pronunciations are widely accepted, though the first one (EE-pock) is more common in American English.

I notice that my pronunciation changes depending on who I’m talking to (and I’ve always wondered about the “correct” way to say it). Interestingly, no one ever corrects me, which makes me think that no one else really knows either…
