I can tell you that most UBC and SFU recent graduates get shortlisted for interviews by some international IT firms in Vancouver.
Everyone I spoke with for a more business-focused tech role was pursuing a master’s degree in data science or analytics; UBC accounted for 80% of hires, with SFU/BCIT making up the remaining 20%. This is a single data point in this space, and it’s purely anecdotal.
