Any companies hiring beginners for data science with training?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of companies that hire beginners and provide training, especially in Python, its libraries, and machine learning? I’d like to earn while I learn and work on real projects instead of spending all my time learning without practical experience. Health-related projects would be ideal, but I’m open to starting with anything.

I appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Most companies don’t hire beginners just to train them in basic skills like Python or machine learning. There are usually two main paths to becoming a data scientist. One is through advanced schooling—many data scientists come from academic backgrounds with a PhD in technical fields. The other is transitioning from a data analyst role to data scientist over time. Training often happens on your own as you build skills and prove you can handle more complex problems.

What should a beginner focus on if they’re just starting out?

SQL, SQL, SQL, and some data visualization. These are the most important starting points.

Absolutely! You might even need to add another SQL to that list. It’s that important.

Most people start as data analysts because data science is usually considered a senior role. You can get there with a postgraduate degree or by gaining experience over time.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Your suggestions are really helpful, and I’ll adjust my strategy based on your insights.

Let me know how it goes! Hoping you find something soon.
